TRAVEL

Students learn how to plan for travel and how to solve problems encountered when travelling. You will learn about the different types of travel options available and the benefits and disadvantages of each.

We specifically learn about:
 - identifying travel destinations
 - the factors that influence the choice of destinations
 - planning  trip
 - organising an itinerary
 - solving travel problems
 - current tissues in travel

Tasks:
  1. Read the scenario to the right!
  2. You are required to do some research to assist Michael in choosing an appropriate travel destination. After conducting research from a variety of sources, you must present the following to Michael:
  3. A map which identifies the location of 5 possible travel destinations (find a map online, paste it into a Pages document, provide the referencing information, then use arrows and labels to show your destination).
  4. A table which summarises all of the information you have gathered about each of the 5 possible destinations. You should at least include the following in your table:

ECO TOURISM

You will need:
  • Headphones
  • Exercise books (You are writing NOT typing)

Tasks:

  2. Work through the powerpoint as there are various notes to copy and activities to complete. (You will need headphones for the video but if many are without laptop simply plug one into the TV and work as a class.)
  3. Complete the 'African Trek' Activity attached.
  4. If you finish, you can either work on your holiday group task OR play 'Papers please' passport game and score the highest. A prize will be given to those who prove the high scores.
